China, US fight over cause of coronavirus

A Chinese government battle to provide reason to feel ambiguous about the inception of the coronavirus pandemic is fuelling a line with the US, with a Beijing official advancing paranoid fears and Washington considering it the "Wuhan infection".

The spat comes as China attempts to divert fault for the infection and reframe itself as a nation that found a way to purchase the world time by setting tremendous swathes of its populace under isolate.
